Hello everyone,
Just a few quick notes before my office walls come crumbling down around me. We are now two days into teardown, and it's hard to recognize the venue at this point. Somewhere in the big cloud of dust is what's left of the lanes, booths, offices, displays, etc.
We've had crews here working nearly around the clock to get everything cleaned up. Also, one of my employees, David Bibeau, happens to be very active in the local Red Cross efforts, so he's been here to salvage as much material as possible to help spring fire victims in New Mexico. It's great to know that even after we're gone, the tournament will live on in Albuquerque and New Mexico, and people will be able to rebuild their homes with help from the bowlers.
As I type this, crates are being packed, furniture is being labeled and moved, computers are being removed, door frames are gone, dry wall is being taken down, and I probably should be packing up my desk before it is removed from under me.
From here on out, I will be on the road, somewhere between Albuquerque, Texas, Chicago and Milwaukee. I will check in periodically and offer any thoughts I can about results, prize checks, tournament stats, etc.
On the media side of things, we sent out our 100th press release yesterday and posted our 167th story. I was in the venue for 138 of the 142 days of competition and loved every minute of it.
Thanks for another great tournament. See you in Vegas.
