maxed out: Hi all. I seem to have maxed out with my average (183-196). I have been bowling in between those for about a year now. I got a new ball in Aug 2007, I really don't know a whole lot about bowling, (my brother got me hooked about 6 years ago). I throw a curve that is decent most of the time, but i just seem to be stuck. I was wondering if getting a lighter ball would help at all ( I throw a 16lbs), but i have a very strong "release" and i am worried about not having any control with a lighter ball. any suggestions or comments?

Hi Maxed,
Well you have not maxed out. You average now matches your ability. To now take the next step you have to find a certified coach to give you instructions. To get to the 200 or over range it then becomes about throwing strikes and allot of them along with making all your spares. There is a link on here to find coaches or talk to your pro shop person. Just look for ways to improve your game and your average will continue to go up. Have a great day.
