    Check it out

1207850949952857.jpg picture by rjm51850 Bowling is alive and well in our favorite Arkansas town. Can't be all that bad they sent a team to the Nationals, and they let them bowl.

    Dear Doctor Doom:

Are you jesting as to the fact that USBC "let them bowl"?

Don't you realize that as far as bowling in Mena, Ark., ANYTHING GOES?

[Exception: No one cares, or can find out, WHERE THE MONEY GOES?]

I'm Bill Herald, and I approve this post.

I would not say that, I bet a lot of people know were the money goes

    Dear Doctor Doom:

We're probably BOTH wrong (in a way).

I'm wrong (as you pointed out) that NO ONE knows where the money goes ... because obviously SOME ONE knows.

You're wrong because the Mena association is so small that there aren't A LOT of members to begin with.

[I do have a hunch that most of the few members that there are don't know where the small amount of money ACTUALLY goes, and most of them could care less].

Oh I don't know lot's is subjective, 10 may be lot's to me, it all depends on your point of view. I personally think that, the I don't care attitude is the best for this deal. As the track record of events proves it will never be solved, but it may make the record book as the longest unresolved lawsuit in history     LOL Grudges are a hard thing to put to rest, are they not.

    Dear Doctor Doom:

You are certainly correct that grudges are a hard thing to put to rest. In fact, in my area, I'd be willing to wager that there are some people barred from centers that don't even recall the reason(s) why they were barred. And possibly, there are some proprietors that don't recall why they barred so-and-so.

By the way, was that picture (in your original post) in USBowler magazine?

[Otherwise, was there a reason why you posted this in the USBowler forum?]

I'm sure you would not be part of that scenario, as you would never bring up past transgressions.

    Dear Doctor Doom:

    Don't be so sure.

As I've often stated, I AM WILLING TO FORGIVE AND FORGET.

However, my local association and a certain proprietor ARE NOT WILLING.

Therefore, the situation continues to span BOTH PAST AND PRESENT.

So I'm not going to forget (or stop talking about it) if I'm still going to be "penalized" in the present.

Nope I was checking out the web-cam and spotted it. thought it was interesting. As far as posting it here, this thread is the most unused, and I felt it was a good place for it, kind of follows the whole Mena thing, sits there and goes nowhere.

So far -- and perhaps, forever -- this seems to be a "private thread" between you and I.

Just my observation, but we never hear from your association, or the proprietor in question. So the only squeeky wheel in this whole matter is you. You take every chance you get to bring up the past, as far as these events go. Most of the time your remarks are unsolicited, and don't even pertain to the subject at hand. Holding a grudge, perhaps you are the only one holding one after all these years. Perhaps the repeated rehashing of the past events on your part, bear this out.

As far as a private thread, no problem, as I'm sure nothing exciting is coming out of Mena these days. I would still like to hear about Karen's progress on the lanes though. I do admire her strength of will. and determination to return to bowling.

    Dear Doctor Doom:

I doubt that my local association or my "friendly proprietor" would DARE attempt any type of debate or discussion with me about ANYTHING, and I certainly don't think they would attempt to come into these forums (even if they did opt to comment).

My local association knows that THE FACTS would be on my side in any discussion, and why would they want to further embarrass themselves? [The current association manager, an extremely competent individual who doesn't date back to many of the continuing problems, has told me that he reads the forums but chooses not to comment or to get in a debate with me. Why? Because he claims that he gets along real well with me, and he doesn't feel that anything he might say would help any situation. And he actually agrees with me on a vast majority of things, anyway].

As for the proprietor, how would anything he might say in these forums benefit him in any way -- unless he wanted to become a defendant in a defamation of character lawsuit? [He's already been found guilty of criminal and civil assault on a league bowler in a court of law, and one of our past association secretaries was suspended by the ABC for attempting to "cover up" for the proprietor by submitting false and inadequate minutes of the proprietor's suspension hearing].

I'd love to debate the association and/or the proprietor in these forums, but in my opinion, they'd be the equivalent of insane to launch any such discussion(s).
