    Bowling Report Card

    Hey,

This will be my second year bowling, and like any young bowler i really want to be Great at it.  But because there isnt really  a league or age group for me it is hard to really  track my progress or really compare if i am really good, average or above the curve.  If you bowl in the typical mens league, everyone there has been bowling for 15+ years and usually are really good.  If you bowl in a mixed league there is too wide of a mix of people to really gage.  Im no longer in school so I dont fit in the coolege group.  So I am asking, everyones  honest opinion......  Last year i ended the year with a 177 average and this year even though it is not over i should be around 193+.  How would you grade my progression this far on an A,B,C,D,F grade system.  Remember this is only my second year bowling.  What advise or comment could you give me also...

    Thanks!

    Dear letmepla:

Without knowing anything about you (except for what you posted), you should rate an A- or a B+.

Of course, I know nothing about your bowling center, either, but with an average of 193 or so, you shouldn't worry about "fitting in" any but the top-notch leagues.

And you might want to post something similar in the Coaching forum, where you might get a number of good responses and "advice" on how to improve your game even more.

But you seem to be doing fine so far. Keep up the good work, and maintain your interest in a game that, hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy for a long, long time. Good luck!

    Re: Bowling Report Card

If sounds like you're making great progress in your first couple of years!  If you are motivated to be the best you can be, I'd recommend spending some time with a coach if you haven't already.  Posting on the coaching forums is also good, but of course, there is a limit to how much we can help a bowler without actually seeing them bowl.

    Best of luck to you.
