Ok. We've got a split season and the winners of the first and second halves bowl each other for the league championship. Is prebowling allowed on a championship night? I can't believe I have to ask this question, but a team in our league just may try it!
Do you mean that the two teams cannot agree on a time to bowl. It does not have to be on the regular league nite.
Scenario: We bowl split season - 16 first have, 16 second half - 33 weeks total. Tonight is our 33rd week to bowl for the championship. What if I get to the lanes and one of the teams decided to prebowl already for tonight. The teams not there but there scores for the night are because they prebowled.

USBC rule 111C states
Games must be bowled as scheduled, unless a request is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled time, except for emergencies, and approval is granted.
and 111D states
Prebowl/Postponement requests are reviewed and decided by:
1. Adult leagues: A committee appointed for this purpose or the board of directors.
Seems to me these same rules apply to championship night.

I used to not have much of a problem with people pre-bowling. After hearing and reading about more and more of these situations I'm really starting to dislike the idea of pre-bowling especially with how most leagues are so lax on it. I don't know of any leagues that have a committee for this purpose. Its basically just tell the president or secretary and then do it before the league session it is for, no reason needed other than not being there. Some leagues will try to limit it per a half or for the season with X amount of times, and not on position nights and so on. One of my leagues you can do it without letting anyone know.
But I digress, I think pre-bowling for a championship should be out of the question, this will probably have to be voted on by the board of directors as this is in unchartered waters.
What the heck is "what if". Do the teams on your league have a habit of prebowling without permission?
In some of these "unorthodox" prebowling scenarios, would it be POSSIBLE for a team to "prebowl" three different series and then submit the highest scores for the record?
It seems as if there are so many potential loopholes, and I doubt if many leagues have stringent-enough rules when it comes to the subject of prebowling.
