    Awards never recieved

I must have the worst luck when it comes to awards.  I was able to get the 7-10 in the Southern Bowling Congress tournament in Mobile Alabama but never recieved anything for it, I made a few attempts as they assured me that I would recieve something but nothing.  I got the Duetch 200 during a singles tournament that ran locally, but never recieved it, didn't push it to much figured I would maybe one day do it again. It's been about 8ys and No such luck (So this one is on me). Then my triplicate award was never sent from a league I bowled in a couple of years ago.    Just a little rant thanks for listening.

The awards you mentioned were notification awards.  In other words you have to tell the sec. you did those things or they would have no way of knowing.  If you want to move to Michigan and get into my Friday league you would get the above awards the next time you bowled. 1 week later.

P.S. please wipe off you boots before coming in to our center.  Thank you

Well I have been waiting 8 weeks for my 700 award.  Not years but still too long for my liking.  If I still don't get anything on my last night of bowling I'll contact my county office and see if they received a notice for this award.  The secretary for my league said they sent in the award form but nothing has been returned.

One week is great for local bowlers I wish that was the case for my league.

But if you want years ago in the 70's I once bowled a 280 with a 167 average and never was told about the 100 pins over average watch, the 150 pins over average series patch.  All I was told about was the 700 patch and that's all I got.  The patch was from the secretary's bowling folder no ABC paper as I have received since this happened. I don't think he sent in the information or worst yet he did and kept the watch and patches for himself.  A bad secretary who just did not care about new bowlers and took advantage by not doing his job.   At least I still have the bowling newspaper article and team tally score sheet from the league so all was not lost.

So I can understand your disappointment, and this pushes me to complain more so in a week and to continue to ask and be a pain to the secretary and county.

cowboybowler, if you have proof or can get it the awards for a dutch 200, triplicate, 7-10 split are available at your local association office and can probably be issued by them. It was not uncommon for me to issue emblems to men and women that were bowled in previous seasons.

The best way to get whats coming to you is to read the awards list,  the rules book and then keep asking questions.  Hey where is my patch?  Hey where is my ring,  where is my plaque?  If you have any questions call your local assn.  if they are no help call headqueaters in Wi.  Many people get on here and complain about sec. and local officials and no one ever knows who they are or where they are from.  Name a few names like my local assn is in back water gulch texas and they are a bunch of lazy bums.  My sec. Joe Whatsface is a thief. etc.

I have the same problem with the leagues I am in. Our secretary collects her money every year but never has any awards for the bowlers. She even got sectretary of the year. I bowled 100 over, and also picked up the 7-10 as of this date still no award, even after telling her about it. So we no longer bowl with this leauge.

    Hi Guin.

When I lived and bowled in the Dallas, TX. area the Denton County B.A. was right on top of the awards. You had your rings, plaques etc. within a week or two of your acheivement.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadslide, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming- WOW-WHAT A RIDE!
