If you bowled in another association and did not print your id number on the membership card you would have been treated as a new member in the 2nd association. If that association didn't know of your original membership you will automatically be given a new id number from the 2nd association. You can contact the assocaition manager of the 2nd association you joined and give him your original number or you can contact USBC's membership dept. at the e-mail address listed above or call 1-800-514-2695 and ask for the emebership dept to correct this.
USBC considers it the member's responsibility to know their member number and report that to any new association they might bowl in. If you contact USBC to fix a mistake, they will just tell you to contact the association who assigned the second number. They will need to change the dues from standard to state and local and refund any national dues that may have been paid. If a person has two ids in a single year, that means they paid national dues twice as well
