Just wan't everyone to know that it's nothing personal in all the stuff I've posted over the last couple of years, it's just the only way I knew how to express myself, be it right or wrong.
Que sera sera, or however it goes.......
Randy, are you feeling guilty about something? You have posted from the heart, like others, we all have to agree to disagree. Name calling has, at times, gotten rough. We all have to understand opinions are our own and if we do not defend ours then we should not have any. I do not recall being mad at anyone here for not seeing that my way is the right way to see things. HA HA Any thing you have said here has not personally bothered me to the point of wanting to smack you down. We all like what we do and will defend it how we see fit.

I do believe that USBC is a doomed enterprise. the integration with the BPAA is more like a corporate merger, I don't care what Boje says, BPAA will be calling the shots to a great degree. I even see Don balking a bit in his pro move, rhetoric.
We as members of USBC, have no say, in the day to day running of the organization. The convention is a farce, because the delegates have no power to affect any change. All the resolutions put forth to them to vote on are all preselected, and for the most part preapproved, or predisapproved, how's that for a word, depending on the desire of USBC. The delegates could not have stopped the move to Texas, they don't have that authority.
You are a man of your own mind, and I respect that very much. If indeed you are leaving us, I will miss you. I will miss your insight to the game, I will miss your honesty, and sense of humor. But most of all I will miss my FRIEND. As you stated in another thread, it's been REAL, and you are one of the truely REAL people, on these boards. I will agree with Don, you have nothing to apologize for.
Randy,
I believe your the only one on this board that knows my name (except for Bgottry) on these boards. You've always spoken from the heart and noone can say differantly (cept maybe the troll). Hope you truly dont dissappear from these boards, you will be greatly missed, not only for your insight but your downright honesty. I head out Monday for Nat's, bowling on Thurs and Fri. I'll let you know how I faired. First time, I dont expect much. I'll be happy with 1700+ but I expect much more from myself, I'm just way to competative. Bowled this past Friday on the Nat shot in my home house and shot 910 for 4 games. If it's anywhere close (and I've heard it is) 1700 will be a little dissappointing.
Anyways, hope to still see you around.

Randy, you have a pm
randy,
i may not have always agreed with what you had to say but like everyone else has said you are honest. i respect your honesty.
plus, i do have to admit that some of your posts had me laughing pretty hard. so, look at it that you brought some laughter to people here.
If you do really drop off the forum I will miss your opinions on everything you post to. I'm very glad we got to meet each other last Sept. in Greendale. Unfortunately the chance to attend any USBC function out there will no longer occur so we will probably not have the chance to meet again. I will feel as if I have lost one of my friends from this forum, if you can actually refrain from posting once in a while. I have a feeling that if Fish posts something that catches your eye you will have a hard time not replying. I hope your health improves and will keep you in my thoughts.
We started off on the wrong foot on these forums, but we both have grown to find a mutual respect for one another. I think you have nothing to apologize for and I will miss not seeing you post on these boards. Your insights into this sport are spot on and yoru bring a true love of this sport into mind when you comment. I hope and pray that your health and that of your loved ones improves and stays well for years to come. I truly hope I get the chance to meet you in person one day and shake your hand, if just for the fact that you did stand up and speak your mind on boards. Take care sir if indeed this is the end, for it is only the end of this chapter of your life, not the story of it as a whole.
We are fortunate to have this forum to share ideas and in some cases point out the shortcomings of USBC. Believe it or not there are times someone at bowling headquarters actually listens but most of the time they just get their feeling hurt and cry. I hope everyone continues discussing hot topics on here in hope the powers at Headquarters will change and operate in the 21st century. While the name has changed most of the operation remains the same.
Dear Randy:
I was sincerely saddened to read your post in the "Relocation To Texas?" thread and the original post in this thread. Regardless of our "differences" -- and most of them are actually trivial and insignificent in nature -- we are both human beings, and unfortunately, both of us have had to deal with various physical problems. I'm glad that, unlike myself, you are still able to compete -- and yes, at a level that I never came close to reaching. Without a doubt, you are an extremely competitive and determined individual, and it's certainly unfortunate that you are forced to deal with your post-smoking physical problems. Despite all of our back-and-forths in the forums, I can honestly say that I have never considered you anything but a good person, and I really feel that if we were to ever meet in person, we probably would get along EXTREMELY WELL, and we would probably find that we actually agree on a lot more things than we disagree on. I truly and sincerely hope that you can hold your head high and do your best to battle through any physical situations that may confront you. I hope we're both alive and in sound mind (and in reasonably good physical condition) and able to "verbally spar" and debate for a long, long time, and I can assure you that there aren't any personal hard feelings -- from my viewpoint, at least. God bless you, your wife and family.
[P.S. -- I sincerely meant everything I also stated in my personal e-mail to you]
Hey Randy,
I just wanted to add my voice to those who have already posted. I hope that your health problems resolve themselves and that you go on to many more years of participation in this great sport. And I know we would all look forward to many more years of your no nonsense style of posting. Whatever happens and whatever you decide with respect to bowling and these boards I wish you well.
