    Bowling in Olympics

Haven't heard much lately. I did hear several sports mentioned as possiblfor 2016 but never heard bowling. Christine Brennan talked about several sports including womens softball but she never mentioned bowling. I wonder if she will be an announcer on the Womens US OPen television show?? My opinion is it would be a waste of money if she is an announcer this year because she has done nothing or even mentioned bowling in her column or tv/radio interviews recently.

oldhoop2, Bowling in the Olympics would make for an interesting discussion.  A test for Christine Brennan would be whether or  not she would be willing to give of herself for free as Chris Schenkel used to often do for bowling, lending his voice and reputation willingly and often; ditto for Chris Paul.

If it was available a good place to start with any discussion of the Olympics would be a breakdown on the costs to USBC and the primary corporate sponsor Brunswick to get bowling recognized as an exhibition participant in Korea.  How much television, radio, newspaper coverage it all got.

Demonstration sports are no longer part of the Olympics. Bowling either makes it as a medal sport, or not at all. The choice is up to the bowling community. I found this link, it is interesting  http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2499575/7634515. BTW do you know who Arianne Cerdena is. Also where was the media coverage for the World Championships just concluded?? bowl.com, and pba.com that's it. Until this apathy for bowling by the media, the bowlers, and the public changes, bowling will never be an Olympic Sport.
