Is theso-called Private Forum being used any more?
The Private Forum never seemed to "catch on" as much as it should have, in my opinion.
However, it's been quite some time since I've noticed anyone viewing, let alone posting, in the Private Forum -- and I do check the "Who's On Line" feature fairly often.
After the Private Forum was initiated, it seemed as if there was at least minor participation and viewing, but that doesn't appear to be the case any longer?
What happened? Or does anyone know or care?
I look everyday. Maybe I should become the Guy Pryor of the Private forum and ask questions just to see if anyone responds.
(for those not on the PBA forum, Guy is the starter of numerous threads)
Isn't "Private Forum" a contradiction int terms?

Dear Al:
But is the participation extremely low -- or next to non-existent -- in the Private Forum?

doc, I have to disagree with you on the private forums. There may not be as many discussions, but we have solved problems rather quickly in most cases. The petty remarks made by a few in the open forums are not in the way of getting help to those who need it.

My guess is that it's alot of local association business in the private forum which is probably the best situation for it to get handled without any busybodies sticking their nose's in where it doesn't need to be.
doc, not that anything is hidden, what has happened is from a few new AM's asking winlab questions to general "how would you handle" items. I have seen no items that are not discussed in the open forums talked about. Just a closed door meeting of the minds on how to effectively run associations for the best interest of the bowlers.

Rats! There goes the thought of it being connected to the illuminati.

Albert, a better idea would be for national to provide subject material, email it to association officers with a schedule of when each of them will be discussed.
A few possibilities: 1. what to do about awards...2. how to promote local/state association annual tournaments...3, activities in locals and how they are promoted...4. Historical records in yearbooks....5, possible changes for annual national convention...6. local bowling councils....7, in school bowling kits and how to promote them...8. annual award dinners...9. support of national tournments....10. support of professional bowling....11. how to improve junior bowling. ...12. how to improve Team USA quaifying...13. support of corporate sponsors....14. local tv show possibilities....15. how to improve relations of officers with each other and bowling centers....16. amendments....17 annual financial reports...18. problem solving locally...19. problem solving that needs national support...20. working with centers on lane conditions for normal and sport bowling leagues
Have those with good programs talk about them, those with few programs learn from them with a national monitor taking down the best posts and sending them on to local officers. Some of them could include guest posters with an interest in the subject being discussed.
