Is there anything we can do....

I am president of a work sponsored doubles league.  We bowl after work (midnight), there is a 6:00 and 9:00 league before us.  After the 9:00 league is done bowling they let college kids come in and bowl until 11:30.  By the time we get there, there is no oil what so ever, seriously, bone dry!  Is there anything we can do to get the bowling center to oil the lanes?

You can try and talk to the manager to see if they can be oiled. Atleast to the lanes that you will be bowling league on. They could try and keep the college group at one end. That way they can start to oil and when they leave at 11:30 they can finish the rest of the house.

Just roll , hit then sit what a simple game this is.

I have talked to the manager and the employee that runs our league, neither are willing to do anything.  And as far as moving college kids to lanes not being used....There are 12 lanes in the establishment and we take up the middle 8 (3-10).  Any other suggestions?  Are there rules as to how many times leagues can bowl on a certain oil pattern before they have to be re-oiled?

No. Would it help if your league bowled on 1-8 and that would leave the last two pair for open bowling?

When I was exec in Syracuse the late night leagues were 2nd or 3rd shift workers who gave the bar lots of business.  If yours is similar you could try a boycott of the bar and drink water until they reconsider.  You might also offer a modest per person fee to the lanes man to come in and do the lanes for you if that person works in the morning and maybe done before the 7pm league gets underway.

I have tried to talk to the guy that runs the league about upping our weekly dues in order to get the lanes oiled for us, I was denied and they are acting as if I am the only person that complains, as I bowl multiple leagues there and all are freshly oiled before we begin.  However, there are about half of the people in this league complaining.

As far as bowling on lanes 1-8, there is no way for us to ensure that they would stick to this plan, we tried before and having different workers there before the employee that runs our league gets there,  I'm just not sure it would work.
