Hi everyone from Maryland! I am a bowler who is now is his second year of bowling. I finished last year with a 162 average. I worked very hard over the summer to increase that average to 200. I am now ready to take anvantage of the work I put in. I am looking to get in as many entries as I can afford into the Maryland State Championships. The 10-pin rule is waived, and my 162 average will be used. I just completed our local association tournament, in which I am currently leading doubles, team, and all-events. Second in singles. If you need a teammate, or doubles partner, please send me a PM so we can arrange something.
How very, very short sighted of the Maryland State USBC.
This is exactly why I am seriously considering never again bowling the MD State tournament. Its loaded with sandbaggers every year.
bob_bent_9 I hope you don't cash for more than $600 in your Association Tournament. Ever hear of rule 319d Opps
I know the rule. We'll see how much it ends up.

Our local association (NCAUSBCA) and the Virginia State Open tournaments also waive the 10-pin rule.
Ironically enough, my best cashing tournament ever was the Dutchman in 2004 where the 10-pin rule is in effect. Even stricter is that the 10-pin rule applies against your current season average at the time you actually bowl at Dutchman. (The USBC Open states 1 January of the current season)
