Too all the bowl.com posters that knew of fellow poster "Buzz" Hickerson.(s/p?) I have heard he had passed away awhile back. My condolences go out to his family. If anyone knows this to be untrue, please share any info you may have. Buzz had some pretty good comebacks for some of the debates he got into, I always enjoyed talking to him.

Randy I have not heard anything about this. I remember Buzz's quick wit and wry sense of humor, in his many debates with Mr. Gates. If indeed his passing is fact, I also offer my sincerest condolences to his family. I know he will be missed, by his .com family.
If Buzz has in fact passed, bowling and this board has lost a treasure. You may not have always agreed with Buzz but you never had any doubt as to where he stood on any issue. Again if Buzz has moved to the big bowling center in the heavens, condolences to his family and like them I will miss Buzz. However, I am praying that this is an unfounded rumor.
A friend of mine at USBC that talked to Buzz on a regular basis pertaining to his association business has passed this news to me. This person knows I frequent the forums and many of the folks I talk to here.
Randy, I have often wondered why Buzz has not been posting for quite awhile. I always enjoyed his posts that seldom agreed with anything I had to say but always provided a 'chuckle' along with his views. I sure hope you are not getting the right info and look forward to seeing BUZZ post and comment on his premature passing.

Strangely enough, I had started wondering where Buzz was about a week ago. Randy, you do have his last name spelled correctly. Does anyone remember where he was (is) from? It seems that it was some place out west. I, also, hope that Buzz is okay.
Ever since I read this thread, I have been trying to call Buzz. I only get his voice mail. Left him a message, but no answer yet. Hope he is OK. I have known him for a very long time.
I just talked to the bowling center where he bowls and the lady said that he has been in and out of the hospital with a bleeding ulser and she beleived that he was having trouble with it. As of a day or so ago, she said that he was still with us as far as she knew. I left her my number and if I find out the real skinny, I will post later.

Thanks and it's good too hear from you. I wish the circumstances were different though. I'm, in noway, trying too start a false rumor, just was wondering if the news I was given is indeed fact...............................

Missouri, I believe.
Buzz lives in Lake Ozarks, Mo. His last name is Hickerson.
Wow....a BabyG siting! Hope all is well with you (and hopefully Buzz, too)
I join the rest of you in the hopes that Buzz remains alive and well, but I fear the rumors may be valid (though I hope not).
It recently came to mind that I hadn't heard from Buzz for some time. I've talked to him for up to an hour at a time on the phone, and I still have 35 e-mails from him in a "Buzz" folder in my In-box. However, I haven't received a single thing from him since October.
It was great to see a post or two from Baby Gorilla ... and I know that Buzz used to have nothing but kind words for BabyG (and I know that both of them were pretty good friends).
And as BabyG said, Buzz's last name is Hickerson and he was from the Camdenton, Missouri, area.
I, too, hope to see him back in the forums talking about his "premature demise," and I still hold out cautious hope for my e-mail and phone pal.
I also have not heard from Buzz. I sent an e-mail to him the other day and will try his phone and fax. I am trying to find his son's card that I got when we bowled nationals last year. Alan lives in California and it will take some time to find the card. In the mean time I hope that his other son Aaron, who lives in Mo. will respond if he reads these notes.
