    Seeking a Better Average

Hey, last year  I ended the league with a 177 average.  It is almost a full year since I first started bowling and I was really wanting to end the year with a 200 average.   My team sucks we are in dead last so I have turned my focus to my individual goal. We have 8 weeks left and I have a 189 average now.  Is it possible to end the league with a 200 average? What would I have to shot to hit my goal  at the end of the year?

How many games have you bowled this year.

How many pins have you knocked down.

Get a calculator, it's not that hard to figure out.

Multiply 200 by the maximum number games you can get if you finish out the rest of the season (don't forget to add the ones already bowled).  Subtract your current total pins from the amount figured first then divide by the number of weeks left that would tell you what you would need each week.  For instance if you have a 189 averge for 63 games and your season that would be total pins somewhere between 11907 and 11969.  If you added 8 more weeks that would be 29 weeks total and 87 games.  200x87+17400 subtract say the minimum 11907 =5493 divided by 8 weeks remaining would be 686.62 needed.
