Earlier this season, I shot 300 to beat my opponent's 297. I felt a little bad for the guy, but thought it was pretty damn cool at the same time. Our team also took total that game by 3 sticks so everthing was dead-even going into our 10th frames. So, what's the boggest score you ever beat heads-up. Feel free to include any big team numbers that your team may have beaten.
I've already shot 300 scratch and lost to my opponents 321 because I was giving him 42 pins and he shot 279 scratch. (his average was about 180ish) The league was 100% handicap of 220 average on a typical house shot, everyone should bowl in one at least once!........................lol
My most memorable and highest was in the final game of a tv show bowldown in 1963 when I needed a mark in the 10th to beat a posted 268 and bowled my first 300 game, the first in that 50 lane center and remained the only for almost two years.
For my wife it was as an amateur entrant in a PWBA event where she struck out in the 10th to beat a Betty Morris posted 289 with a 290 that at that time was the highest PWBA match play game to date.

For me it was last season when we were bowling against a team that we had to give about 150 pins a game they shoot over 1200 all three games and we shot over 1225 each time with our handicap, one of those games we shot 1230 scratch, that was a night that we all were firing on all pistons one of the last time it happened.

Bowled a 300 as a sub, The team I bowled with were not real good. Got beat by over 300.
bowled against a guy in college who shot back to back 300's...I shot 659 for the set and won total pins !!! I have never seen anyone fall apart that bad...ever. He never got more than 7 pins in any frame that last game. This was in 1979 a 300 was a HUGE deal.
